How To Protect Your Email Account

First of all you need to have a gmail account and if you don't have one,it is very easy to create one by visiting gmail.com and clicking create account.

Login to your gmail account using google chrome for efficiency, select the desktop site. At the top of the page, select my account option then go to security check up and click get started to protect your account in just a few minutes.

Check your account recovery information inorder to get notifications from google whenever there's unusual activity in your account or just incase you are locked out by an intruder. Set your recovery phone number and a recovery email address and click done when finished. Write them down and store somewhere safe incase you forget.

NB: Never store or carry your account information i.e  account numbers, pins and passwords e.t.c in your wallet.

Also do not forget to check your connected devices, clear all those that are logged in to your account from unfamiliar locations or devices. The last bit on account permissions is to review connected apps and websites that are linked to your google account. Remove all websites and apps that you do not recognize.
